About the role:

BuroHappold Associates will typically take responsibility for management of people, commercial issues and an interface with the wider project team. In this capacity Associates represent BuroHappold internally and externally on behalf of the group.

As a key part of the Engineering team, your responsibilities will be varied but will broadly include:

  • Preparation of  Technical Specifications and checking the work/specifications of other Engineers in the team
  • Undertaking project technical/quality reviews and attend design reviews for projects both in offices and on site
  • Leadership of projects on behalf of the group, taking ownership for sustained and productive client relationships 
  • Management of multiple projects across the group, taking responsibility for the engineering solutions and financial performance
  • Leading a team on specific projects within the Group (including a team of Engineers and Technicians) 
  • Supporting delivery of the team’s Performance and Development Review process
  • Providing support in seeking new work from existing clients
  • Developing your own Client relationships and securing repeat work where possible, with support of the Group Directors and Associate Directors 
  • Preparing bid proposals and additional fee proposals (with the support of the Group Directors, Associate Directors and Bid team colleagues) 

About you:

As an Associate level engineer it is expected that you would be able to demonstrate:

  • An outstanding foundation as a technical and project leader; demonstrated via a track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within the industry
  • Mentoring and leadership experience of other Engineering professionals, desire and ability to support in developing individuals skills, whilst encouraging collaboration and cohesive teamwork
  • Overseas and domestic project experience, ideally within multiple sectors although BuroHappold's varied portfolio will further extend your breadth of experience
  • Solid Educational foundation - ideally a degree and post-graduate qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Danish and English fluency

In addition, any experience within Business Development, an involvement with any academic bodies or residence and consultancy experience abroad would stand you in excellent stead although these are not essential.
