The world of engineering is not as static as you might think - in fact, it's changing fast. We're honing our practice to make it fit for the future, and our IT team has a vital role to play in this transformation. With new legislation coming in all the time, it's important to keep abreast of requirements, implement best practice and be ready for changes.

We need a talented Information Security Analyst to join us and help deliver the information security plan in our complex, global partnership. If you can bring us a great mixture of technical know-how and top-notch people skills we need, we can offer you an engaging challenge working with a company delivering real change to buildings, neighbourhoods and cities.

This is a key role within the practice that will work closely with the Global Director of IT and other senior stakeholders in the practice to ensure the delivery of our roadmap on Information and Data security to ensure that we meet current and future legislation requirements at a level appropriate to the risk appetite of the practice.  

The role will also work with external parties to ensure that the roadmap is continuously reviewed and updated to reflect current and emerging risk trends in the field of information security to ensure that our internal and client information is protected at all times.

Working with our practice on a part time (ideally c. 4 days/30 hours per week) you will be:

  • Delivering and co-ordinating items from our Information security roadmap and liaising with third parties for testing and auditing as appropriate
  • Ensuring our Information Security roadmap is current and consistently evolving to factor in new risks as they emerge whilst also factoring in policy, industry best practice, and Client contractual requirements
  • Increasing awareness of Information Security Management across the firm through continuous development of a training and communications plan
  • Ensuring that all documentation complies with client requirements, cyber essentials plus (or appropriate certifications) and policy in order to safeguard confidentiality and integrity of business information.
  • Co-ordinating day to day monitoring, auditing, detection, prevention and operations of security breach process.   Working with stakeholders across the practice to resolve issues and ensure corrective actions are deployed and effective.

To be successful, you'll need a proven track record in successfully delivering information security consultancy or security management, and the knowledge and expertise to challenge or validate technology decisions. But technical skills alone won't get you through. We'll also need you to be a great communicator - someone who can build strong, productive relationships with both internal and external partners.

We'd love to speak to you if you can demonstrate: 

  • A solid foundation of commercial experience in InfoSec or security management, ideally with a global reach
  • Experience of delivering Cyber Essentials Plus compliance
  • An awareness of applicable data privacy practices and laws, applied with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach
  • Great consultancy skills includinng relationship management skills, with the ability to challenge & influence at all levels
